Dear BIT-LA Family,
I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. I want to start by expressing my deepest gratitude for your patience and understanding during these past few months. As some of you may know, I have been dealing with a major heart issue that required my immediate attention and a period of recovery. I am relieved to share that I am on the mend and eager to reconnect with each of you.
During my absence, I have had the opportunity to reflect on the incredible resilience and potential of our BIT-LA chapter. Now, more than ever, I am reminded of the importance of our mission and the urgency of our work. We have significant goals ahead of us, including our upcoming Accelerate BlackLA Tech Job Fair, the SmartLA 2028 Initiative, and the LA2028 Olympics. To achieve these, we must come together, re-energize our efforts, and push forward with renewed vigor.
In light of this, I am calling for an urgent virtual meeting to discuss our immediate plans and to get everyone back on track. Your presence and input are crucial as we navigate the next steps for our chapter.
