Empowering BIT LA Members to Lead in Clean Energy Innovation and Workforce Diversity

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Green Energy Academy within the Los Angeles chapter of Blacks in Technology (BIT), a groundbreaking initiative set to position our chapter as a leader in workforce diversity, clean energy innovation, and community empowerment.

The Green Energy Academy is more than just a training program—it's a powerful platform that will open doors to high-growth careers in clean energy for underrepresented communities. From solar installation and wind energy to electric vehicle infrastructure and smart city technologies, BIT LA is committed to equipping members with the technical skills and certifications needed to thrive in these dynamic industries.

As a member of BIT LA, this initiative offers you exclusive access to industry networks, job placement opportunities, and mentorships with leading companies like Google, Tesla, and Southern California Edison. The Academy is also designed to close the opportunity gap, offering scholarships and career pathways to communities disproportionately affected by environmental injustice, furthering our mission of social equity.

We encourage you to get involved—whether by participating in our training programs, leading mentorship efforts, or collaborating on community outreach. Together, we can not only shape the future of clean energy but also ensure that it is inclusive, diverse, and accessible for all.

Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to contribute to this exciting new chapter in our journey toward sustainability and innovation.
